It’s major, it’s major: a little minor! Unlike my kids, this little minor will be bestowed with lullabies sung in angelic voices and tunes played by the same hands that change his diapers! I’ll avert now to lyrics, as it is their other language… “How long will I love you? As long as stars are above you. And longer, if I can. How long will I need you? As long as the seasons need to follow their plan. How long will I be with you? As long as the sea is bound to wash upon the sand. How long will I want you? As long as you want me to and longer by far. How long will I hold you? As long as your father told you, as long as you can. How long will I give to you? As long as I live through you. However long you say.”
Somewhere far, far away from here (or so it feels) there is a charming little village where one can smell the ocean and hear the mountain’s sigh. Its streets are laced with arty little shops and quaint houses- one of which is home to 3 little girls. I paid them a visit and took some pictures of tiny number 3. Daddy’s life is getting increasingly pink! Klein Laraine, may your dreams be filled with beauty equal to that of the wonderous world peeking through your window…
These photos are extra-extra special to me: my brother’s Emma and my sister’s Olivia, born only 3 days apart. You really do love your siblings’children like your own …some days even a little more- look how still they’re lying here! We treasure you little angels. You were born for heaven. Phil 3:20
PS: I need to apologise to my brother. I made you do two things you hate: I made you pose and I made you wait! For all the next times I promise you VIP status on that editing list! You’ll still have to pose though!
Mommy of three now! And if it was up to her, it would be three and counting! Looking like a million bucks before, during and after your pregnancy helps, I guess! Levi, brother, hope you can handle lots of love- the other elements are for you!
These photos are of my artist friend Helen and her son; so glad she’s become more than one! I’ve always thought the world could do with more of her type. Helen, may the pure gold of your soul rub off on your son and the music in your eyes resound in his heart. I thought these words were so beautiful: “…I want something else now, something warm and sheltering, something I can turn to, regardless of what I do, regardless of what I become. Something that will just be there like tomorrow’s sky. That’s what I want now.” May motherhood be your next extraordinary journey.
With every new child a mother’s heart grows bigger. And as time goes by and your child grows bigger, your heart grows even more bigger! One day you’ll be all grown up baby boy- with mountains to conquer and lions to slay. May your mother’s big heart remain your home…
If she’s as natural a mother as a model, this mommy will be just fine! loved photographing her and can’t wait to meet her little bambino!
I told these guys I’m only in Pretoria for one day and really don’t have time to squeeze in another photo session… But they know I love them enough for them to just calmly tell me that they’re coming anyway. So glad that they did! It was a privilege to meet this little guy.
